It's Been A long Time....

I had the good intentions of writing every month, well as you can see it did not happen. It seems that life really does get in the way. Birthday parties, vacation, holidays, visiting the grandchildren, vacation, oops I did mention that at least once before.  This past year has been very busy.

I had the wonderful opportunity to take several vacations. I was able to go to Ormand Beach with some girlfriends. And along the way we went to Disney World. Three grown women riding all the rides and just having fun as if we we're teenagers. I sometimes think that I am going through a second childhood, since I turned 50.

I went to Saint Augustine with my oldest son and his family. What a wonderful time spending it with them taking in Florida's history with them. My grandson, Luke loves history, forts and any information about the American Indians.

I was back up in the Atlanta area at Thanksgiving, visiting my father. However on the way up I made a quick stop over in Old Town Florida to visit my son and grandchildren.  I was 30 minutes away from getting in the car for my trek to GA. when I fell and broke my wrist. It was quite an adventure, even though I was in a lot of pain I was able to remain claim and in control. My son, John took me to the ER in Gainesville Fl. (which was an hour away) and we had all of the wonderful x-rays and xmas done to be told what I already knew. That my wrist was broken.  Who would have ever guessed that considering, my wrist was twisted out of shape, swollen and in pain.  I guess only Doctors can officially tell us these things.  Anyway, I received a temporary split, and back to my sons.  My daughter-in-law, changed her plans and drove me to Atlanta so that I could have my vacation and to see my father. They had planed on joining me later on in the week anyway.  The Lord was good and worked everything out.

I was back on the road again to see my youngest son, David in Orlando in December. We went to Disney to be a part of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas.  Lots of fun.....

I also was able to more time off around Christmas to be with my sons and their family in north Florida.  Somewhere in between the vacations I did work. Actually, I worked alot.  Life is still great and I still give God all of the Glory.  Take care, I will try not to take so long next time to write.
